The San Antonio Coalition Against Genocide is an organization formed to address the crisis of genocide in the Darfur region in western Sudan, a central African nation. Its mission has expanded to include genocide and mass atrocities occurring any place in the world.
"Clearly I haven't yet done enough." Ruth Messinger, AJWS, AJWS.org
SACAG includes representatives from the Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, Interreligious Council of San Antonio, University Presbyterian Church, Holocaust Memorial of San Antonio, and other individual members.
Although the United States has been in the forefront of countries providing humanitarian aid and working actively for a cessation of violence, SACAG believes immediate action is needed to forestall a human catastrophe of even greater dimensions.
