Fourth Annual Walk Against Genocide
The Fourth Annual San Antonio Walk Against Genocide was held April 12th, 2015. It commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Speakers included Mark Cross and Tina Karagulian, both descendants of survivors of the Armenian genocide, with music provided by Dana Clark Music. Our speaker from the 3rd Annual Walk, Rwandan genocide survivor Alex Marie Secondaire, performed Of Vehi She'amda by Ya'akov Shwekey for us. Poet Sossy Gulumian Kaltakjian and her daughter Aleen Kaltakdjian read a poem in Armenian and English about the Armenian genocide. Click here to view pictures from the event.

The third annual San Antonio Walk Against Genocide will take place on April 27, 2014 at the Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community, 12500 N.W. Military Hwy.
Rwandan genocide survivor Alex Secondaire will speak and music will be provided by Dana Clark. There will be a short walk.
Organizations working in the areas of conflict resolution, peace-building and genocide awareness/prevention will have tables where Walk participants can educate themselves and learn how to get involved. Funds raised will support the San Antonio Coalition Against Genocide to further support genocide prevention and other groups working to help survivors of genocide.
